FAQ

Where is our office located?

Our office is located at 405 Academy Road, directly across from Oby’s restaurant and adjacent to Starkville Academy.

What are the office hours?
We are open Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Does this office treat children?
Although we are happy to see patients of most ages, we typically don’t see children under the age of 10. We would be glad to recommend a trusted pediatric dentist in the area.
What type of payment options are accepted?

We are happy to accept cash, personal checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and CareCredit.

What if I can’t afford treatment?
Payment plans are available on selected dental treatment plans and procedures. This financing is handled on a case-by-case basis and must be agreed upon in writing before treatment is started. Our office provides CareCredit as a financing option to our patients. CareCredit is a personal line of credit for healthcare treatments and procedures for your entire family.
Does your office accept insurance?
We accept most dental insurance plans offered by major insurers, and as a courtesy to our patients, we are happy to file your claim electronically. In order to file your claim, we will need a copy of your dental insurance card, the subscriber’s ID number or Social Security number, and the subscriber’s date of birth. We always suggest that you call your insurer to verify dental coverage eligibility and benefits before your appointment. Please call our office, and we will be happy to answer any insurance questions you may have.
I’m really nervous about my visit….
For an especially anxious patient, our office offers several options to make your dental appointment more pleasant. Nitrous oxide sedation works very well for patients with mild to moderate anxiety. Nitrous oxide is commonly referred to as “laughing gas” or “happy gas.” Patients who use nitrous oxide are able to drive to and from their appointments with no hangover effect. For patients with more than average dental anxiety, we employ several types of oral sedation. This sedation is handled on a case-by-case basis. Patients interested in oral sedation should speak with Dr. Ferguson or Dr. Coats at their consultation/exam appointment to decide which method of sedation is the most appropriate.
